Annas Muzafar

Annas Muzafar (b. 2002, Perak) is an artist currently based in Ara Damansara. He is a fresh graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts (Painting) from UiTM Shah Alam. His artistic practice explores a range of mediums including painting, printmaking, drawing, and sculpture, with a strong emphasis on conceptual and satirical approaches but he focuses more on conveying visual language through painting.

Annas has hands-on experience within the creative industry, having worked as a mural artist and as part of the surface preparation team during his internship at RanahStudio Ed Roger. He has also undertaken commissioned projects, producing portraits and paintings tailored to clients’ requests. In addition, his works have been exhibited in gallery spaces, where he primarily presents paintings that engage with satire, self-reflection, and critical observation.

Driven by a curiosity toward visual language and meaning, Annas approaches art as a space for experimentation and reflection. His practice is rooted in transforming ideas into visually engaging works that challenge perception, invite dialogue, and balance conceptual depth with approachable imagery. He uses humor and satire to share his observations and experiences with the audience.

He sees the world with a sense of lightness, approaching its ups and downs with jokes and laughter. This doesn’t mean he ignores the seriousness of things, but rather that he chooses not to be consumed by negativity. Through humor, he eases tension and offers a more approachable way to reflect on the realities we face.
